Declaration of conformity in customs union. (CU TR Declaration)
What is declaration of conformity?
Declaration of conformity is a document which confirms that product is manufactured according to Customs Union Technical regulations. The Customs Union Declaration of Conformity (CU TR DoC) can be issued only on company registered in Customs Union. List of all products subject to DoC can be found here. The main difference between certificate and declaration of conformity is that in case of declaration the holder of the document is responsible for the product and in case of certificate the certification body is responsible
What products are subject to declaration of conformity in Customs Union.
Depend on a type of the product different technical regulations might apply. We should check the exact technical regulations to estimate if the declaration of conformity is needed. Some products which are subject to CU TR DoC:
- machinery,
- industrial LVD,
- certain types of cloths,
- food products,
- cosmetics
Terms of issuing declaration of conformity
CU TR DoC can be issued for the single shipment, for serial production 1, 3 and 5 years. The price of single shipment declaration is about 350 EUR. 1 year declaration – 350-450 EUR. 3 year declaration 450-650 EUR
